    American and British prepositions

    Hi
    I was wondering if English taught here was American or British. I think it's the latter. Am I right?
    I was doing some of your prepositions quizzes and I'd like to know if prepositions are used the same way in American and British English.

    Prepositions are tough for me. I wouldn't like to get more confused.
    I hope you can help me.

    Re: American and British prepositions

    Prepositions are not easy to learn in a foreign language, so don't be despondent. Most prepositions in English have more than one meaning. It is also difficult to try and guess the correct usage. It is easier perhaps to learn the whole expression...in the morning, on Friday morning, at night etc.

    I don't think there is a marked difference in AmE and BrE...where are you finding difficulty?

    Hi
    Yes, there is some difference; to name a few cases:
    BE - in Oak Street, speak to smb, at the corner
    AE on Oak street, speak with smb, on the corner

    Hmmm.. I see there are a few, but really not that many.

    BrE At the weekend
    AmE On the weekend

    Your example;

    I would be happy with either

    Meet me on/at the corner of Oak street
