    Question past tense problem

Hello, I have a problem with a sentence in the past tense
    Is it:
During my first and second years of studies, I have been deeply interested in the several marketing courses I attended.
    or
During my first and second years of studies, I was deeply interested in the several marketing courses I attended.
    or
During my first and second years of studies, I have been deeply interested in the several marketing courses I have attended.

    Thank you very much

    Re: past tense problem

    Hello Marc,

It depends on your position in time as the speaker.

If you have finished your studies, ie you no longer study then the past simple is correct (sentence 2)

If you are still studying then either sentence 3 is correct. We use the present perfect for experience and unfinished time (your studies)

I don't believe that sentence 1 is correct but some may argue otherwise.

    Hope this helps

I hope you have finished your second year of studies. Then your second sentence is correct. "During my first and second years of studies I was deeply interested in severalmarketing courses I attended.

During my first and second years of studies sounds the activity was complated.

So i think the right sentence is
"During my first and second years of studies, I was deeply interested in the several marketing courses I attended."
