    difference between it and this

    hi!
    please explain to me the difference between the usage of 'it'and 'this'.Like where should these be used with examples.

    When you point to the nearest object you say "this" and when you speak about an object without pointing to it you say "it"
    This is my house. It is very comfotable.

    You can use this for a person, object, idea, etc. to show which one is referred to
    You can use it (as subject or object) for the thing, animal or situation which has already been mentioned
