    very soon now?

I have this problem in my textbook,
"very soon now I'd doze off"
does it mean "very soon 'from' now I 'would' doze off"?

    Re: very soon now?

Is it in a text about the past? We can use 'now' in the past, and it would mean a short time after that moment. If it's a text in the present, then I would use 'will'.
