A. Most of the time, men get so carried away with the idea of seduction that they completely forget about being a friend.
- What does "get carried away" mean in this sentence?
B. He though a lot about the way he was doing things and he figured that he might be trying too hard or coming on too strong with women.
- "come on" in this sentence means "attack", right?

I think that in your sentences, "carried away" means preoccupied by or obsessed with something.
When a man "comes on" to a woman (since this is the twenty-first century, I should say "when a person 'comes on' to another person") it means nothing other than he wants to have a sexual encounter with that woman, if she is willing. A "come-on" can be anything from a slight smile to an invitation to your yacht.
