    Cupids

    Dear Teachers,

    A. You’re in love, everthing is fantastic, your friends can see little Cupids sitting on your shoulders.
    - What does “see little Cupids sitting on your shoulders” mean here?

    B. If one partner is expecting this lead to marriage, while the other is thinking “great, roommate with benefits” you have a problem.
    - What does “roommate with benefits” mean here?

    Thanks a million

A Cupid - mythical winged child-like creature, symbolizing love. He usually has a (golden?) bow; anyone hit by Cupid's arrows falls in love. Cupid - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

B room-mate with benefits - company/social and/or sexual partner, with the benefits of cheaper food, shared utility bills, free laundry, help with putting up bookshelves... [etc, etc, according to your socio-sexual programming]
