    Question meanings

He that planted the ear, shall he not hear? He that formed the eye, shall He not see?

Oh! what a noble mind is here overthrown!

Excess of ceremony shows want of breeding.

Could anyone explain the meaning of above sentences?

God, who made everything, sees and hears all.

Oh! what a noble mind is here overthrown!

A sentence from the play "Hamlet" - the person being talked about has gone mad/insane.

A person who comes from a low social background may be too polite because he/she does not understand the rules of good behaviour

I understood this senence like this :

The person to whom about we were taking few minutes before had gone mad now (after few minutes).

    Is it right?

    Re: meanings

Nearly, not quite. It is not so immediate as "just now".

The person, who was intelligent, now seems insane because he has been apparently talking nonsense to the girl with whom he is supposed to be in love. She is confused by his behaviour and unhappy about what he says.
