    Become/get

I have this difficulty in understanding the become and get.

    For example:
    You're getting pretty
    or
    You're becoming more beautiful.

I don't know exactly when to use get and when to use becoming. I just used them with my experiences, but that's not enough...

    Thanks for reading this.

    You'r right with your examples.

If it feels right it usually is.

This may not help you, but when I was being taught English, we were discouraged from using "Get", and did exercises replacing it with appropriate verbs.

In your example I would change the second one to

You are becoming prettier or You are growing prettier
