    correct sentences

    1. I couldn't find any matches, so I used the cooker to light the candles.

    2. I couldn't find any matches, so I used the stove to light the candles.

    3. I couldn't find any matches, so I used the flame from the stove to light the candles.

I believe sentence 3 is correct, but are sentences 2 and 3 also correct?

    Re: correct sentences

    .
All are fine; there is no difference except the noun phrase, which could be almost anything:

I couldn't find any matches, so I used the candle / cigarette lighter / acetylene torch / Guy Fawkes bonfire to light the candles.
    .
