    Re: formal letter

Two vertical spaces after the typed name (or title) of the sender.

    Examples:

    Sincerely,

    (signature)

    Fred Garvin

    cc: Seymour Mazlo-Freen

    Sincerely,

    (signature)

    Fred Garvin
    Vice President, Widget Division

    cc: Seymour Mazlo-Freen

Email letters usually have templates to fill in, with separate spaces for the addressee, carbon copies, and blind carbon copies. The sent email will then list the carbons according to its programmed format.

(By the way, formal letters should never be sent via email.)
