    anyhow?

    Hi,
    I don't understand the choice:
While admitting that this forecast was______ uncertain, the scientists warned against treating it as a cry of wolf.
    a. anyhow b. somewhere
    c. somewhat d. anyway

anyhow is the correct choice. What's wrong with somewhat

    Best wishes,

    Rayon

"Anyhow" is incorrect, IMO. I would choose "somewhat".

I agree with my colleagues. Anyhow is definitely not the correct choice. It should be the forecast was somewhat uncertain.

    :)

'Somehow'could be used to imply that it was not clear how it was uncertain.

Sorry. Your explanation is too brief to be understood. Please explain it in detail.
    Best wishes,

I got confused. What do your 'yes' and 'or why' mean?
    Best wishes,

He means that it could mean it was not clear how or why there was uncertainty.
