    Cool Direct speech

    Hi,

I'm wondering whether one can use "direct speech" when telling someone else about something that happened in the past. Example A is talking to B about a discussion that A had with C without changing the actual conversation to "report speech".

    Please comment, thank you.

    Regards,
    Jeeva

    Dialogue
A: So, I told Max, "I'm not doing it."
    C: What did Max do?
A: Max said, "I don't care what you do. I'm not doing it for you."

    All the best.

    Cool Re: Direct speech

    Hi,

Is it okay to use "dialogue" style when you're tell someone about what transpired between you and the other person?

    Thank you.

    Re: Direct speech

Many people do, but indirect speech is often more succinct.
