Question Paper Cut Pinched At My Finger

But instead, I was practising my origami.
"OUCH!" I gasped, as yet another paper cut pinched at my fingers.
I gingerly picked up my handiwork and decided to go through to the kitch and ask Mum's opinion of it.

    Here is my wild guess:
another paper cut functions as a noun phrase and the subject at the same time; pinched serves as the verb in this case.
I'm still not sure what does the whole line in bold mean, though. How, in what way, could a paper cut pinch at one's fingers?
Please shed some guiding light to enlighten the lost.
    Thanks a zillion.

Paper cut" is that nasty little cut you get from the edge of a piece of paper. They are very uncomfortable, and the narrator is saying that it hurt sharply.

Thank you, Anglika, for the guiding light, and I see the whole picture:

I gasped, as yet another paper cut hurt my fingers like they were pinched.

I'd have said 'as though they were being pinched', but you've got the right idea.
