Is the adjective "last" correctly used?

    Hi teachers

Where did you go for your last holiday?
    Shouldn`t I better use "latest holiday" ?

    Thank you

If you were being nasty to someone who is always on holiday, then you cuold say "Where did you go on your latest holiday"!

    Well spotted!

For those who don't follow this: the person who uses 'latest' here is implying 'you take so many holidays that I have to specify which one'.

    Hi,
I don't find anything wrong with the prep... Is it really wrong?
We went to Ireland for our last holiday.

I have no problem with it either - it conveys a sense of selection: We usually go to France, but we went to Ireland for our last holiday.
