Cool Not having got or not getting

Is the phrase "one in three adults regrets not having got better qualifications while at school" or should it be "one in three adults regrets not getting better qualifications while at school"?

To my mind, either works, Unr, but one small point; "not having got ..." is BrE. NaE would be "not having gotten ...". "not having got" is used in casual NaE.
