What does (showbiz life) mean in the following sentence?
---Do you prefer showbiz life in London?
--Not at all. My best friend here is actually an old friend from Sheffield.
Sheffield - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia. It's famed for steel, and cutlery - though much of the industry has gone now. I think its force in this context comes from the fact that Sheffield is industrial, and possibly a bit run-down (The Full Monty was about unemployed steel-workers) - which makes the friend sound ordinary (in contrast to the showbiz life).
