    Hi,
    'I will be home within an hour.'
    Can 'in' be used instead of 'within' like 'I will be home in an hour.'

    Using 'in' strongly suggests that it will be a full hour before you're home.

    Using 'within' suggests that you might possibly be home sooner -- 40 minutes from now, for example.
