    Fingersmith

I just saw the miniseries "Fingersmith" after the novel by Sarah Waters.

A fingersmith is a pickpocket, am I correct?

(The word is not in my dictionary)

A fingersmith is a petty thief.

Hehe,.... I was so stupefied that my American Heritage didn't contain that word that I completely forgot about Wikipedia or the other one.

    Or, in French

"Les excuses sont fait pour s'en servir."

Yes. I agree. Only a truly lazy person (ahem, me) would know that quotation.
