    What is the difference in meaning between: I hope she will come , and I was hoping she would come?

    Hi sony,

    I hope she will come - she hasn't come yet but you're hoping she will.
    I was hoping she would come - she has arrived (or not) and you now know whether she's coming or not. You no longer have to hope. It's in the past.
