    Police Interview

The following is the first paragraph of a letter that is sent to a witness who is required for a police investigation. I find it somewhat inelegant.

We are investigating an offence under the Animals Act. Please come for an interview by Sergeant John on 31 Aug 2007 at 11 am in the Administrative Department, CID, situated in No. 2, Newton Road.

Could someone suggest a better of saying the same thing?

    Re: Police Interview

I would expect a letter from the police to contain zero elegance. I think the letter is appropriate for the circumstance.
