    Re: Any Celta trainees?

I am interested in eventually doing a CELTA. Does anyone know if it is required that you have no previous teaching experience before you do it?

Also, I am working on my Masters in Applied Linguistics and there is a lot of theory involved as opposed to practice....so lots of papers to write and articles to read. Is the type of work you do with CELTA similar or is it something else? What kind of work besides class observation and teachign do you have to do? That is, do you do papers and review articles? Thanks.

Hi, just posting to say I've passed my Celta Applelinguist you'll be just fine if you do the Celta with your knowledge of the language and yes no previous teaching experience is required, you will have to submit 4 assignments over the course, take a look at this website for further info www.cambridgeesol.org/teaching/celta cat
