    Question 'Say'

    Hi,

I can see a friend of mine online , her display name is 'furious'...Is it correct to say 'why does your display name say furious' or it's better to say 'why is the word furious written in your display name?'

    Thanks

Either one would work in the sense of being understood, Jenna but there are more polite ways, if that's what you're looking for, to ask why such a name has been chosen.

actually, you'd have to ask why does your display name SAYS furious, not say furious...

We don't need the 's' as an agreement marker for 'your display', [which equals 'it'], Oicorziur, because we are using the auxiliary verb 'does'.
