    Used to / Would always

When to use "used to" and "would always"? Are they always replaceable or is there a difference?

    Example:
I used to take my surf board to the beach with me.
I would always take my surf board to the beach with me.

Are both correct? If not, why?

    Thanks for your help,
    Dany
