    is this correct?

    Original:
Clean the dust inside the hole.
    Suggested:
Remove the dust from inside and outside of the hole.

We cannot clean the dust, but we can remove the dust to make clean something.
In this context, the dust has to be removed from inside and outside the hole.so ideally it is remove and not clean
    any suggestions???

    Re: is this correct?

You could also say 'clean the dust from inside and outside the hole'.
