    they’re uncomfortable feeling confused

    Dear teachers,

(And because they’re uncomfortable feeling confused, readers are left in the dark about a universe of research that eludes easy explanation.)

"feeling" is the main verb, it should be modified by an adv, not an adj. But here "uncomfortable" is an adj. Why?

    A million thanks.

    No comma after 'uncomfortable'?
