    Can anyone explain?

    Hello all,
Someone asked me following question that I could not reply:
If the expression "I regret" is true then why the expression "I glad" is not true?
Can someone help me with a detailed response?
    Peter

    Re: Can anyone explain?

Regret is a verb, whereas glad is an adjective. It needs a form of the verb BE (am, is, are, and so on).

    I am glad
    You are glad
    Max is glad

    All the best.
