    Identify an adverb

    How can I identify in a sentence the word LIVE as an adverb?

    Adverbs give extra information to explain a verb.

    eg1. The football match was shown on television. (shown is the verb, to show).

    eg2. The football match was shown live on television. (shown is the verb, live is an adverb which adds more information about how the football match was shown)

    In this case the i in live is pronounced as in I'm alive, not as in I live at home.
