Smile Could you paraphrase for me?

    Dear teachers,
I quoted long below because I thought I might need to give you the context before I ask a quesiton.
    ---

It all began at the little church on Quaker Hill in upstate New York where I was invited to speak. What a coincidence that I ended up at this church, well off the beaten path. It turned out to be across the road from the country home of my hero, Dr. Norman Vincent Peale, the prominent author of The Power of Positive Thinking....Then just days before my talk, Dr. peale died -- on Christmas Eve -- and was buried behind that little church....
    ---
In the above sentece, I don't understand what the wirter wants to say in the bolded part.
What is "the country home" here? ...Could it mean a tomb?
It would be great if you could paraphrase the point here.

No. He has two homes - a town home and a country home (that is, set in the countryside - he probably goes there at weekends, or for holidays, or when he just feels like taking a break from town life).
