    labyrinth = the spiral passage of the internal ear.

    The ear is divided into three sections: outer/middle/inner
    The inner ear has the organs of hearing (cochlea) and balance (labyrinth) (I'm no scientist, so check here for more detail: Inner ear - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia)
