    Box the food

When we can't finish the food at the restaurant and want the waiter to put the remaining food in a box for us to take back home. What's the native way to make this request? Thanks.

    Re: Box the food

This very much depends on local custom. In various parts of England you'd say:

Can I have a doggy bag please?

This originates from people taking leftovers home for their dog. (Although it must be said that in those parts of England, people rarely leave food uneaten!).
