    need to understand the meaning

    i have sentence whose meaning i dont understand . hope you will help.

    here is the sentence :

    "A Lout lacks grace"

    i found in the dictionary "lout"=stupid person.
    still, the meaning of this sentence is not clear.






    one more sentence , To INTEREST greatly is to ENTHRALL.

    "A Lout lacks grace" =

    lout = an uncouth [lacking good manners] or aggressive man or boy [he need not be stupid]

    grace = [in this context] attractive qualities or behaviour

    So "A man/boy with no manners has no attractive qualities"


    To INTEREST greatly is to ENTHRALL If you are very interested in something, your attention will be held and you will be fascinated.
