    Of great help?

If you want to help with your work, ask John. He's always of great help.

What does it means by of great help?

I think it'll be better to say: If you want any help with your work, ask John.
Saying " He's always of great help" you mean " He is always ready to help and can help a lot."

So that's mean he is supportive or hospitable?

But in my exam, they gave out "hospitable" and "supportive" and force us to choose one. What's more exact?
