    black monotony

    Tarun Tahiliani's dominantly monochromatic collection in black, grey and charcoal was very high on wearability while the peach togas were thrown in for good measure to break the black monotony.

    Please explain the highlighted the group of words.

    'Were added as an extra to eliminate the sameness of the black/grey/charcoal'. ('Peach' is a pale yellowish-pink colour.)
