    I think
    British are multicultural (English, Irish, Americans, Asians etc settled in different kingdoms that are united) and called resident of United Kingdom
    England is one such kingdom, Scotland is another, Wales is other one.

    Any brit, scot please let me know if you agree.

    Great Britain is the island in which there is:

    The United Kingdom (UK) consisting of England, Wales and Scotland

    British is the national term for all inhabitants of Great Britain
    English = England
    Scottish = Scotland
    Welsh = Wales

    Great Britain is England, Wales and Scotland

    The UK is England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland
