    A couple of time

I always come across those words" a couple of years/weeks/days" and sb told me that they're all mean "one and a half in period of time", right?
    So I wonder if we can use " two/ three/four... couple of years/ days/weeks...(etc)" ?

    Re: A couple of time

If you want to use a couple you have to talk about 2 things. eg. a couple of days = 2 days. a couple of people = 2 people etc.
If you say they are a couple you are talkıng about a girfriend and a boyfriend (they are in a relationship together).

If you want to say a few people it usually refers to 3 things.

    I hope this was helpful?

    Dave.

    Re: A couple of time

Chau co,,Sorry Belly T. We can say a couple of years, weeks, or a couple of times. The word 'couple' already denotes something more than 2 or even more as the case may be. This is the peculiarity of English. So not correct to say two or three couple... does not make sense... and 'couple' does not mean one & a half...you have been misguided......ta biet....have fun
