    The baseball fans like to sing so much that they have a different song for ____ batter that goes to the plate.


    Which fits better here, every or each? Is it possible that both fit equally well.

    I would expect "each" in this sentence.

    I concur with you on this, but the answer from the author of this test is "every". Anyway, maybe it's a wrong answer due to mistakes.

    a different song = one different song (for each one batter)
    could be "every" though, but not less "each"
