    of + Wh-words

The poem touches the heart through its strong theme (of ) how important children are to the world.

This sort of preposition insertion always baffles me. Could someone please tell me whether I use "of" in the sentence or not?

Yes, you do; otherwise, the two parts just don't connect IMO.

    Dear Tdol,
Many thanks for nailing my problem. It's so kind of you to help people over the internet. I don't think that anyone can ever return this kind deed of yours, but God. What you have done for me, and what you do for others really merit an award.

May the blessings of God light up your life with happiness and prosperity.
