    Smile Parenthetical expressions

    What is the definition and an example of a parenthetical expression?

    Paranthesis (singular parenthisis)

    When writing and we want to give additional information or material we put it in " parenthesis". Maybe an afterthought or that you had read the readers mind.

    I love Tom Cruise,(he just had a little girl she is gorgeous) anyway his new movie is coming out next week I am going to see it with friends.

    Her name is Mrs Nobody, (yes that really is her name!)
