    More to

I didn't think there was any more to the story.

So does this phrase mean that they thought the story had ended?

    Thanks in advance.

I think it means that there wasn't any more to the story than what was written-there was no ulterior meaning.
N.B.I have become used not to give an answer immediately because often things aren't what they seem to be. So, whist checking I found this, which seems very interesting.
    AUE: "anymore" and "any more"
