    Square Corner

A common phrase I hear from my co-workers is, "Don't put yourself in a square corner," when referring to an action that could have unpleasant or undesired results. Is this referring to the idiom, "Don't paint yourself into a corner"? It seems to me like the something has gotten twisted in translation.

    Re: Square Corner

Unless it is an extension of the boxing ring, where you will have difficulty escaping your opponent if you are trapped in a corner.
