    's or s'

    Hello,

Can someone explain to me when to use 's and when s' ?
    I always mix it up

    Thanks a lot in advance,

    Re: 's or s'

If a word ends in -s and you want to make it possessive in form, you have two choices.

    1) Add another -s and an apostrophe
Ex: Dr. Jones => Dr. Jones's office

    2) Don't add another -s. Just add an apostrophe
Ex: Dr. Jones => Dr. Jones' office

    It's your choice.

    All the best.
