    whence a term's fees ....

    Hello, I think I am chasing you up.

    I do not understand the underlined part of the following sentence, please could you help again? Thank you.

    "A pupil will be deemed withdrawn without notice 28 days after exclusion whence a term's fees in lieu of notice will be payable."

    If a pupil leaves without giving notice he will have to pay a month's fees instead. 'in lieu of' from French means 'in place of'.
