    It is not you.
    In my opinion, the entire subordinate clause: "(the fact that) you did well in your exams".

    Just because you did well in your exams does not mean you can stop working

    With you, there is no subject-verb agreement

    There is no subordinate clause in the sentence -- I was wrong.
    In any case, I was not far from the truth
