Is that past tense of `to be' is also been?

    Re: to be

    Hi Gary
    .
No, the simple past tense forms of 'be' are 'was' and 'were'.
The verb 'be' is irregular and 'be' is also the only verb that has two different forms for the simple past tense.
    .
Luckily, though, there is only one past participle for 'be' (been).
