Hello. In several news articles and scientific papers I've read, I have noticed that authors use words like arise, awake, await as verbs, in a similar meaning as if these words were written without the initial "a". Is there any difference in meaning between them? Could you provide a rule for this? or when one or another should be used in a specific case?
Besides, I have these other questions:
- Do both adverbs "loudly" and "aloud" mean the same?
- Check these sentences out:
"You can choose any of them"
"You can choose either of them"
Are both sentences correct? Do they mean the same?
