    Questionnaires, opinionnaires, and polls

    What is the difference between:
    Questionnaires, opinionnaires, and polls?

    Isn't a opinionnaires basically a questionnaire?

    Thanks,

    Re: Questionnaires, opinionnaires, and polls

Basically, yes, though not all questionnaires are opinionnaires. It's a fairly recent word, which I presume is to separate them from factual surverys, etc.

Would kindly elaborate more on the difference between the two.
    Thanks.

    Re: Questionnaires, opinionnaires, and polls

A questionnaire could ask any type of question (including opinions), while an opionnaire only asks for opinions on an issue, etc.

That makes sense since a questionnaire can be about factual things.

    Many thanks Tdol :)
