Is it a special holiday in Yugoslavia from April 6 to April 9?

    Hello Everyone,

    I have a customer in former Yugoslavia(seria)
and I called his office several times on Friday (April 6) and on Monday (April 9). However, no one answered the telephone. I am wondering here whether it is a special holiday during this period in Yugoslavia or in the western countries?

    Thanks and best regards!

Thank you very much for your quick answer!

I have three other questions here.

    1. When exactly is this year's Easter?
    2. How many days do people usually take off during Easter?
    3. And is Easter celebrated in each European country?

    Waiting for your reply?

    1. When exactly is this year's Easter? 9th April
    2. How many days do people usually take off during Easter? Good Friday/Easter Day (which is a Sunday, so people will not be at work in offices anyhow)
    3. And is Easter celebrated in each European country? Yes

    Thank you anyway.
How do you usually greet others during Easter Season?
With what feelings do you celebrate Easter day? sad? happy?
sadness combined with happiness? or others.
In China, On April 5th ,there is a similar Festival called 清明节(qing ming qie).On the day, people usually go to their ancestors' tomb to remember them.

Easter Day is a day of rejoicing as that is the day on which Christ rose from the tomb.
Good Friday is a day of mourning as that is the day on which He died.

The only day on which greeting would be exchanged is Easter Day, and the greeting will depend on which country you are in, and which form of Christianity you follow. In the UK, the standard greeting is "Happy Easter".

Just to add...In Canada, we also have "Easter Monday" as a statutory holiday and would probably wish each other a Happy Easter from Friday through Monday regardless of race or religion! In the U.S., Good Friday is NOT a holiday, nor is the Monday
