    be going to

    Dear teachers,
To express future plan, we use BE GOING TO, but in stead of "I AM GOING TO GO TO NEW YORK THIS SUMMER, can I say " I AM GOING TO NEW YORK THIS SUMMER ? . Does the second sentence express future plan ?
    Sincerely,
    Phuoc

Yes, it does. The present continuous can also express future arrangements
