    1.Evidence shows that doctors-pharmaceutical representativesí interactions through samples provision, gifts given and invitation to company sponsored programmes to doctors have the potential to influence doctors decisions about drug therapy.


    2.In practice, normally there will be an overall campaign of promotion where network of pharmaceutical representatives promoting the same product at the same time. Therefore, the process of doctorsí selection may introduce minimum bias in the choice of drug discussed in a meeting.

    3.Similar to (country 1), the recruitment of general practitioners in public and private practice in (country 2) to participate in a study may be difficult. However, recent encouragement by the (country 2) Ministry of Health for general practitioners to participate in research may minimize the problem related to doctorsí recruitment.
