    Please check the sentence

    Hi,

"The patient is quickly recovering from the operation."

1.Could I use the following sentence instead of the one above?

"The patient is fast getting over the surgery."

2.Are 'quickly' and 'fast' interchangeable when they relate to the speed of recovering?
3.Could we replace 'quickly' with 'quick' here?

    Many thanks.

"The patient is recovering quickly from the operation" would be better.

1: You could, but again it would be better expressed "The patient is getting over the surgery fast".

2: It would not be usual.

    3: No

    Hi Anglika,
    Thank you for your help.
Would you please also check if 'fast' and 'quickly' are fine to use here and the same meaning?

    1."Don't speak so fast/quickly, I can't follow you."
2."He could not drive fast/quickly because the traffic was very heavy.

    Many thanks.

    Re: Please check the sentence

In those sentences, both could be used.
